ENT Diagnostics offers dedicated on-site laboratories with the very latest equipment to undertake the complete range of specialised hearing, balance, facial, voice, laryngeal, nasal, olfactory, airway, allergy and sleep investigations. These tests facilitate accurate diagnosis and may be helpful in monitoring outcomes before and after treatment. Virtually all investigations are recorded in digital format and can therefore readily be provided to the patient and/or their referring specialist by hard copy or on CD format at the time of their assessment or sent by email to facilitate speedy transfer of relevant diagnostic information.
We have invested in state of the art equipment which includes:
- a soundproof booth for accurate hearing and voice assessments
- Noah computerised audiometry software for basic and complex audiometry and hearing aid evaluation
- Capella Otoacoustic equipment for recording otoacoustic emissions (TOAEs) and cochlear distortion products (DPs).
- Medelec Synergy system for conducting the full range of Auditory Evoked Potentials (diagnostic and threshold ABRs, ECOGs, Corticals etc) as well as Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials (VEMPs).
- Medelec Synergy system for recording Evoked Myogenic Potentials (EMGs) of the laryngeal and facial muscles
- ICS Chartr ENG/VNG System for accurate assessment of horizontal and vertical eye movements and caloric testing using VNG goggles with infrared cameras
- NeuroCom BalanceMaster for helping to determine which parts of the balance system are causing problems and for assisting rehabilitation
- KayPentax Video-Stroboscopy system for laryngeal, voice and airway assessment
- SonaSpeech II computerised voice analysis system
- Spider-Xpert spirometry system for objective upper and lower airway assessment.
