Rigid Videostrobolaryngoscopy
Why?
To investigate voice disorders
How?
A rigid telescope is passed over the back of the tongue and a close up view of the larynx (voice box) is recorded. Stroboscopic light is used to slow down the video images so that very subtle abnormalities of the vocal cords can be identified.
